Scheduled giving

A scheduled gift contains one or more allocations. The schedule total is the sum of those allocations, which may point to different eligible destinations.

Changes to amount, allocation, cadence, payment method, or anonymity affect future charges; they do not rewrite completed transactions.

A schedule can pause after repeated charge failures. Updating a Wallet instrument does not silently convert a failed transaction into a success; the schedule must be ready to resume and future attempts create their own records.

Stopping a recipient from accepting new donations does not automatically cancel existing schedules. Schedule state, recipient eligibility, and individual charge results remain distinct so Homeward can preserve the donor’s instruction and the financial audit trail.
