Administration model
Homeward has three distinct authority layers:
- Platform roles authorize staff, administrators, and sysadmins across Homeward.
- Organization roles authorize staff, admins, and owners within an organization.
- Profile access authorizes management of a particular person or organization.
Changing one layer does not imply a change to the others.
Current administration is divided by record type: People, Organizations, Applications, Transactions, Disbursements, and Website Studio. This preserves separate review and audit histories instead of treating every action as a generic user-management operation.
Support impersonation is for reproducing a user’s view. It does not change the user’s stored roles or access and should remain attributable to the acting administrator.
Consolidated Users & access and Identity review pages are being built; until then, those tasks remain in People and the related profile or organization workflows.
