Profiles, access, and privacy

A personal profile is the durable record for a person; it is not the same thing as their login account.

Profile context

The selected profile scopes most Dashboard data, including giving, ministry, updates, and profile administration. An account can manage more than one profile, so confirm the profile context before interpreting a balance, roster, or activity record.

Access versus relationships

Management access, organization membership, program enrollment, and public connections are independent. Removing one relationship does not necessarily remove the others.

Individual itineraries and organization relationships are also separate: itinerary entries describe time-bound travel or assignments, while organization relationships describe an affiliation and its status.

Public and private data

Public identity, biography, ministry story, photographs, and public contact channels can appear on the public profile. Identity details such as birth data, private addresses, phone ownership, and access records remain private even when the person has a public profile.

Updates are available to organizations and qualified minister profiles. Being a profile manager alone does not enable ministry features.
