The giving model

Giving is profile-scoped on both sides of a transaction: a donor profile gives to an eligible recipient profile and, where applicable, a specific fund or fundraiser.

Recorded amounts

Currency belongs to each money record. Homeward does not apply a donor or recipient profile default, and historical gifts are not converted when a preference changes.

Transaction status is authoritative. Pending, failed, refunded, and cancelled records must not be treated as succeeded gifts.

Dashboard records

Giving overview summarizes the selected donor profile. Donation activity contains the transaction record and receipt actions. Wallet contains saved payment methods and billing addresses; those instruments do not themselves own donation history.

Receipts reflect the transaction and currency actually processed. Annual statements, tax identifiers, Gift Aid, and delivery controls appear only where the relevant jurisdiction and workflow support them.

Recipient eligibility, fund status, receiving configuration, and available balance are separate controls. A public profile or published fundraiser is not by itself evidence that new gifts can be processed.
