Welcome to Homeward

Homeward connects donors with missionaries and the organizations that send them. It is one platform with three audiences, and each audience uses a different part of it: donors discover people and organizations and give to them, missionaries keep a profile and post updates to their supporters, and organizations present their work, their people, and their funds.

One account, one or more profiles

The single most important idea in Homeward is the difference between an account and a profile. Your account is how you sign in — one email, one password or passkey. A profile is a person or an organization as Homeward presents it.

Your account always has one personal profile, and it may also be allowed to manage others: a child, a spouse, a coworker, or an organization. Switching the selected profile in the dashboard changes which profile you are working on. It never signs you in as someone else.

Your first three steps

Create your account. Choose Join us on any Homeward page and sign up with Google, Apple, Facebook, a passkey, or an email and password. Details: Signing in.
Complete your profile. The dashboard shows a Complete Your Profile checklist that links straight to the fields still missing. Details: Joining Homeward.
Give or receive. If you are a donor, open a fund page and make your first gift. If you serve in ministry, enable ministry tools and open the funds you need. Money topics live under Giving.

Where things live

The dashboard is the signed-in part of Homeward — everything you manage happens there. A tour of your dashboard walks every page in the order the sidebar shows them and links to the article for each one. If you are looking for a specific task, start there.

Anyone can browse; actions need an account

Anyone can read Homeward. Public profiles, public organization pages, cause pages, and the newsfeed are all open to signed-out visitors.

Taking an action is different. Contacting someone, donating, RSVPing to an event, and editing any profile all require you to sign in. That is deliberate: reading is open, changes are attributed to a real account.
