Your attendee guide
Every registered attendee has a private guide for the event: one page holding the arrangements made for you, the programme, and the travel details Homeward asks you to fill in. It is separate from the public event page — the public page never shows lodging, assignments or rosters.
Getting in
Section titled “Getting in”Open the event’s page and choose Your private guide in the tab bar, or follow the link in your registration email. Sign in with the Homeward account connected to your registered attendee profile.
Access is strict. Only a profile with registered or attended status on the event can read the guide. Being accepted, being invited, working for the host organization, or holding a platform role does not open it. If the guide refuses you, the message tells you which of these cases you are in:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| “Sign in to view your guide” | You are signed out. Use the account connected to your registered profile. |
| “This guide is for registered attendees” | You are signed in, but this profile is not registered for the event, or its registration is no longer active. |
| “The attendee guide is not available” | The event or the guide has not been published yet. |
| “We could not load the guide” | A temporary problem. Try again in a moment. |
If you hold more than one profile, check that you are signed in as the one that was registered — switching accounts is the fix for most access surprises.
What the guide contains
Section titled “What the guide contains”The guide’s header shows the event title, dates, location and venue. Below it:
- Guide notes — short sections written by the event team, in order.
- Your event details — “These arrangements are private to your
registration.” Three areas:
- Lodging — the property name and address, your Room, your Reservation confirmation number, Check in and Check out dates, and any guest or assignment notes. If nothing is assigned yet you will see “No lodging has been assigned.”
- Add-ons — anything added to your registration, with the quantity when it is more than one.
- Assigned meetings — the meetings arranged for you, each with its start time, location and description.
- Program — the schedule grouped by day, with times or “Time to come” where the schedule is not final.
If your personal details fail to load, the guide says so and shows no private information rather than showing a partial page.
Entering your travel
Section titled “Entering your travel”Travel is the one thing you edit yourself. For each of your arrival and departure legs, the guide asks for:
- Arrival time / Departure time — the date and time you land or leave.
- Mode — Air, Rail, Bus, Car, Other, or Not set.
- Location — the airport, station or city for that leg.
- Carrier — the airline or operator.
- Flight, train, or route number — the specific service.
- Notes for the event team — anything the team arranging pickups and greeting should know, up to 2000 characters.
Choose Save travel when you are done. A saved guide confirms with “Travel details saved.”
If someone on the event team edits your details while you have the guide open, saving returns “Travel details changed — reload the guide to get the latest details, then try again.” Reload the page and enter your changes again; the newer copy wins, so nothing is merged behind your back. Any other saving error says “Travel details were not saved” and asks you to check the fields.
Before you travel
Section titled “Before you travel”The guide holds your arrangements, but the documents and health information Homeward asks for live on your profile. Enter passports, visas, health needs and emergency contacts before an event so the team has them — see Travel documents, health, and emergency contacts.
