Contact details and addresses

The Contact tab holds three cards: Addresses, Contact, and Online presence. The tab mixes the most public information on your profile with the most private, so it is worth knowing which is which before you type.

You have exactly four address slots, one address each:

Slot What the public sees
Residence Masked — general area only
Mailing Public in full
Ministry Public in full
Native Home Masked — general area only

Masked means precisely this: visitors see your general area, never your street address, postal code, or map pin. The public page renders these as a “Residence area” or “Native home area” card with the locality only. Mailing and Ministry addresses show in full, including street lines, an attention line, and a View location map link when the address has coordinates.

Each empty slot shows its own Add … address button. The editor is the same for all four, with a note: “Add a street address, a map pin, or both.”

  • Type — fixed. You cannot turn a Residence address into a Ministry one; add the other slot instead.
  • Street address lines, city, state / region, postal code, country — the structured fields, which adapt to the country you choose. Postal codes are validated in that country’s format.
  • Map pin — pick a point on the map, or use the address autocomplete to place it for you.
  • Recipient or c/o — an extra field on Mailing addresses only, up to 200 characters.
  • Organization or department — an extra field on Ministry addresses only, up to 200 characters.

Select Save address. Removing an address asks “Remove address?” in a browser prompt.

Select Add email. Each email has:

  • Email — required, for example name@example.com.
  • Label — free text, for example “Personal, work, ministry…”.
  • Show on public profile — the toggle that decides whether visitors can write to you directly.

Saved rows show the label, the address, an On public profile badge where it applies, and Edit and Remove buttons. Removing asks “Remove ?”.

Select Add phone. Phone numbers are always private — the public never sees them. Homeward asks for them so the team can reach you about your account.

  • Phone number — required, an international field with its own country code.
  • Label — Cell, Home, Work, Office, Ministry, or Other.
  • SMS allowed — Homeward may text this number.
  • WhatsApp — this number is on WhatsApp.

Rows show SMS allowed and WhatsApp badges for the ones you turned on, with Edit and Remove (Remove asks “Remove ?”).

  • Website — public. Any link that is not one of the social networks below: a blog, a ministry page, or a link hub. It must start with http:// or https://.
  • Social links — public. One row each for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter / X.

Select Link on a platform to connect it. Enter the username only, not a URL — a profile URL is rejected with “Enter only the username, not a profile URL.” Each platform has its own format rule:

Platform Username format
Facebook 5–50 letters, numbers, or periods
Instagram 1–30 letters, numbers, periods, or underscores
YouTube 3–30 letters, numbers, periods, underscores, or hyphens
Twitter / X 4–15 letters, numbers, or underscores

Unlink removes the platform from your profile.
