Donation history, receipts, and annual statements

Donation activity is the ledger of every transaction this profile has made — succeeded, pending, refunded, and failed alike. Filter it, read each row’s state, and download receipts or a year-end statement.

Across the top of the results card:

  • Search — matches recipient, fund, transaction ID, and payment method.
  • Recipient — a searchable list of the organizations in your results.
  • Source — One-time, Scheduled, or Fundraiser.
  • Status — Succeeded, Pending, Failed, Refunded, or Cancelled.
  • Method — Credit card, Debit card, ACH, or Bank transfer.
  • Clear — resets the filters and the search box, but not the timeframe or the sort.

Under View options, Timeframe starts at Last 30 Days. Alongside the presets (current and prior month, last 3/6/12 months, current and last year) there is a Gift years group listing every year you actually have transactions in. Sort by offers newest and oldest first, and highest and lowest amount.

Most rows are plain: a bold amount, no marker. The rest carry a colored marker next to the date:

Marker Meaning
IN TRANSIT The payment is still pending.
PARTIALLY REFUNDED Part of the gift has been returned.
FAILED The payment never completed.
REFUNDED The full gift was returned.
CANCELLED The transaction was cancelled or redirected.
ADJUSTED The transaction was later adjusted; still a valid gift.

The amount styling carries the same information: italic gray means pending, struck through means the transaction is terminal (failed, refunded, or cancelled), and bold means a normal or adjusted gift.

Pending and terminal rows show the original total. Everything else shows the net paid amount — the total minus any refunds.

In Support Of shows the largest allocation’s organization and fund. When a single gift covers several allocations, a +n chip opens a tooltip listing every “Organization · Fund — amount” line.

Each row has a receipt download button. It is missing on some rows by design: a receipt only exists when the gift is tax-deductible and the net paid is above zero, so failed, cancelled, and fully refunded gifts have nothing to download.

The PDF lists the donor, transaction ID, date, method, and status, with one line per allocation showing that line’s share of the net paid amount and a closing Total tax-deductible figure.

Select Annual statements at the top of the page. The dialog loads your entire history — not just the current page — so large donors are not truncated, then shows one tab per gift year, newest first.

Each year shows a Download Receipt button (which produces the annual statement PDF), the Number of Donations and Total Amount, and a summary table of every organization and person you supported, sorted by total donated.

What counts in a statement: tax-deductible transactions with a net paid above zero. A refunded-but-deductible gift still counts at its net amount. Statements assume a single currency per year — a donor giving in two currencies cannot combine them in one statement.

The statement PDF lists date, recipient, transaction ID, and net amount per gift, closing with Total deductible.

Giving on Homeward explains which profile this history belongs to. Wallet — cards, addresses, and giving defaults is where you change the receipt address. Scheduled and recurring gifts covers the charges that fill this ledger.
