Getting help

The Support button in the dashboard top bar is the way to reach Homeward. It does not open an external help desk — it starts a message to Homeward inside your own Messages, so the request and the replies stay in one place you can return to.

Press Support in the top bar. Homeward opens the Messages page with a support conversation already started; write your message and send it as you would any other. Replies arrive in the same conversation.

Include what a reader would need to find the right record without asking you again:

  • what you were trying to do, and what happened instead;
  • the profile, organization, fund, or transaction involved — a name, username, or amount is usually enough;
  • a screenshot if the problem is visual, with private details cropped out;
  • whether it happens every time or only sometimes.

You can keep using Homeward while the request is open. Replies also reach you by email notification, depending on your message preferences.

Some requests do not go through the Support button. Email guestrelations@homeward.org for:

  • pseudonym requests — using a pseudonym instead of a legal name on a profile;
  • event questions — registration, travel, and anything about a gathering;
  • verification corrections — when a legal-entity or registration check came back wrong and the details need fixing.

Verification dialogs in the app point here too: if a registration check saved an incorrect result, Guest Relations can have it reviewed.

Support requests are read by Homeward staff, and a conversation can involve more than one person before it is resolved — identity and financial corrections in particular are reviewed rather than edited on request. If your request touches a record someone else owns, you may be pointed to the person who can make the change; Fixing something that is wrong explains which record owns which value.
