Statement of Faith

For ministers and ministries, it is important to clearly and transparently communicate a set of beliefs which others can rely on. Foundational doctrines, typically articulated in a Statement of Faith, provides others with the confidence that they share a common faith with the minister or ministry - especially important since many core issues are not routinely discussed when believers interact with one another.

We provide two main features to accomplish this, which should be used together rather than as substitutes.

Affirm Homeward’s Statement of Faith

We request that all ministers and ministries registered on Homeward review our Statement of Faith and determine whether to affirm it. Affirming our Statement does not replace or supersede your own. However, for users who do not want to assess many individual custom Statements, this is a quick way to gauge whether the minister or ministry they are viewing agrees with a platform-standard Statement.

Unless there is something objectionable in our Statement, we recommend that every minister profile affirm it.
