Abuse reports and moderation

Abuse Reports is where reported content is reviewed and acted on. Endorsements are the only reportable content today. The page is sysadmin-only on purpose: it is the only surface that can remove a published endorsement, and it must never be reachable by the person the endorsement is about.

Reports are listed oldest first under Reported endorsements. Each card shows the author, their relationship to the profile, when it was submitted, which profile it is on, the full endorsement text with its strength tags, and a status badge — Still public or Already removed.

Below the text, a reports panel lists each report: who reported it, when, and their reason in quotes, or “— no reason given”.

Everything listed is still public

The page says it directly: reporting raises content, it does not hide it. An endorsement that has been reported stays visible to every visitor until a sysadmin removes it. That is why the Still public badge is on every card — it is telling you the report alone has done nothing.

Two actions are available:

Remove endorsement — takes the endorsement out of public view. This is the only action that changes what visitors see.
Dismiss reports — keeps the content and clears the reports. Use it when the reports do not warrant removal.

Choosing between them

Removal is for endorsements that break the endorsement rules — content that was published as written and that the subject of the endorsement cannot remove themselves. Dismissal is for reports that turn out to be disagreement rather than abuse.
