Site pages, team roster, and reception

Three sysadmin pages control what the public site shows and how it is read: Site page review turns public navigation pages live or hidden, Our Team roster curates the people on the public Our Team page, and Update reception reports how readers respond to published updates.

Site page review

Site page review controls, platform-wide, whether each public navigation page is live. Pages are grouped into cards by navigation group. Each row shows the page label and its URL, a status of Published or Hidden, and a toggle switch. Changes save immediately — “Saving…” appears in place of the status while it writes.

Pages that are always public are not listed, because there is nothing to decide about them.

Our Team roster

Our Team roster curates the public Our Team page. Only individuals with a profile on the platform can be listed, which is why the add dialog searches the whole platform — including people whose profile is not public yet, so a card can be staged before someone goes live.

If the Our Team page itself is hidden in Site page review, a banner says so; the cards cannot appear until the page is published.

Three category cards appear in public-page order: Board Directors, Missionary Advocates, and Staff. Each lists its members with Move up and Move down buttons for display order, plus Edit and Remove.

A listed person is live by default, so a card shows a badge only when it cannot render publicly:

Hidden — profile private — the person’s profile is not public, so the card cannot appear.
Hidden — page off — the Our Team page itself is hidden in Site page review.

Adding and editing a card

Add person opens a dialog where you search for the person first, then fill in:

Title — required; shown on the card.
Location — such as “Chiang Mai, Thailand”.
With Homeward since — a year.
Focus — a short line that overrides the person’s cause tags when set.
Cause slugs — up to 3, comma separated. Anything beyond three is dropped.

Editing a card offers the same fields plus a Category dropdown, so a person can be moved between sections. Saving requires a title.

Update reception

Update reception shows how readers respond to each profile’s published updates. Each row lists the profile with an Organization or Person caption, the update types it publishes (Newsletter, Editorial, Testimony, Report), how many updates it has published, its upvotes under Valued, its downvotes under Missed, an Approval percentage, and when it last posted.

Downvotes are staff-only, and deliberately so. A downvote is an aggregate of a private number, and publishing it to the profile it is about would still reveal that number — so readers and profiles never see it.

Approval needs at least 5 votes before it means anything. Below that minimum the column shows “—” rather than a percentage that would look like indifference; hovering explains “Too few votes”.
